American Nucleonics Has Record Profit

American Nucleonics reported record net income on record sales for its second quarter ended Feb. 28. Net income for the quarter increased 30% over the same period a year earlier, to $409,200, or 5 cents a share, and sales were up 28%, to $1.9 million.
For the six months ended Feb. 28, net income jumped 53% from the same period last year, to $684,900, or 9 cents a share, while sales increased 26%, to $3.5 million.
The Westlake Village-based company, which makes military communications equipment, attributed its better performance to increased defense spending and product improvements.
