A body found by a hunter near Palmdale early last month has been identified as that of a Tujunga woman reported missing 19 months ago, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
Annette Lillian Thom, 43, was reported missing Aug. 6, 1984, after she failed to show up for her job as a computer operator at a Sunland company, Sgt. David Horton said. The cause of death was not disclosed, but Horton said the case has been turned over to homicide detectives.
A man discovered the body Feb. 3 while hunting in Littlerock. Anthropologists and a forensic dentist helped the Los Angeles County coroner’s office identify the body, Deputy Drew Basey said.
