UC Irvine Tennis Star, Team Loses to Miami

Miami’s Andy Burrow upset UC Irvine’s Bruce Man Son Hing Monday as the 13th-ranked Hurricanes edged the 25th-ranked Anteaters, 5-4, in a nonconference men’s tennis match at Irvine.
Burrow, ranked No. 55 in the nation in singles, defeated Man Son Hing, ranked 25th, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.
UCI (8-4) won only one singles match, but swept the three doubles matches. Darren Yates scored UCI’s only singles victory, defeating Chris Louw 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
