SANTA BARBARA — Kim Glavey’s pitching and hitting led the Royal High softball team to a pair of victories Saturday, as the Highlanders clinched fifth place in the Dos Pueblos Tournament.
In Royal’s 11-0 victory over Hueneme, Glavey (4-3) threw a two-hitter and hit a solo home run. Julie Myers, who was 2 for 4, ignited an eight-run third inning with a three-run double and homered in the fourth.
The Highlanders defeated Westlake, 6-3, behind Glavey. She tripled and scored in the first inning, and she scored the first of three third-inning runs.
