Artesia : Street Repair Approved
The City Council has approved a plan to repair and resurface 186th Street between Gridley Road and Pioneer Boulevard. The $225,000 project, including widening portions of the street, should begin in late summer and be completed by the end of the year, according to newly appointed City Manager B. Eugene Romig.
The county Engineering Department has been hired to oversee and complete the project. Romig said the city is paying for the work with Federal Aid Urban funds, money that can be used for a variety of capital improvement projects such as street maintenance and repairs.
