Four Lake View Terrace homes were briefly threatened by a 20-acre brush fire Wednesday before firefighters extinguished the blaze, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
A water-dropping helicopter aided about 30 firefighters in putting out the blaze, which started at 2:33 p.m., Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells said. The fire was extinguished in 44 minutes, he said.
The fire in the 12200 block of W. Pinney Street caused no injuries, Wells said. The fire is being investigated, he said.
