Man Killed in Crash: A 29-year-old man was killed Monday after his Volkswagen slammed into a utility pole. Dwayne George Woelm of Huntington Beach was airlifted to UCI Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, said Sgt. Tom Beardman. Woelm was southbound on Magnolia Avenue, north of Orange Avenue, when he veered into a utility pole on the west side of the street about 6 p.m., Beardman said. Responding officers and paramedics administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation until a medical helicopter arrived. Woelm was alone in the car.
