Michael McCarthy, a former producer at NBC, testified that he was told by the head of the network’s sports division to ignore the United States Football League on a weekend show, although Arthur Watson denied in testimony last week that such instructions were given.
McCarthy of NBC was the only witness in a short day of testimony at the $1.5-billion antitrust trial in U.S. District Court in New York.
