The man, Sanford Maurice Taylor, 25, of Sylmar, was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, where he was taken after the 10 p.m. shooting, Los Angeles Police Lt. Bob Stemples said.
Taylor was with an unidentified employee of Payless Shoesource who was taking money from the store to a nearby Security Pacific Bank in the 12600 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, Stemples said.
