Cincinnati financier Carl H. Lindner and his company, American Financial Corp., increased their holding to 7.7% from 5.9% of the Class A common stock of hit television series maker Aaron Spelling Productions. Lindner and American Financial reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission that they bought the additional shares on the open market for $2.3 million between Aug. 15 and Aug. 29. Producer Aaron Spelling owns all of the Class B common stock, giving him 68.7% control of all voting shares.
