The parent corporation of the company that prints California Lottery tickets was accused by an unsuccessful bidder of doing business in South Africa. Bally Manufacturing Corp., which owns lottery ticket supplier Scientific Games, has told state officials it does not do business in that country, but spokesmen for Lottery Production Services said they have reports that some Bally slot machines have been sold there. A Scientific Games spokesman said Bally sells to independent distributors who may have done business there.
