College Volleyball : UC Irvine Women Lose PCAA Opener

UC Irvine’s women’s volleyball team lost to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, 15-7, 15-13, 15-7, in the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. conference opener for both teams Thursday night at Cal Poly.
UCI’s overall record fell to 3-6. Cal Poly is 5-1.
Irvine was led by Kris Roberts, who had eight kills, and Alison Wood, who had five.
In other college volleyball action:
Christ College Irvine’s women’s volleyball team defeated Southern California College, 15-9, 11-15, 15-11, 12-15, 15-11, in a nonconference match Thursday night at Irvine.
Christ College Irvine (2-1) was led by Susie Vatcher, who had 12 kills.
