Tax Measure
Congress is stampeding toward passage of the much-ballyhooed tax “reform” bill, with its “simplified” rate structure. But anyone who takes the time to read reports on it will quickly learn that it is a labyrinthine hodgepodge, exemplifying and amplifying the ridiculous complexity of our tax system that has been so loudly decried by one and all.
I have a modest proposal: Let’s make President Reagan read the whole damn thing, and allow Congress to pass only those parts that he can understand!
