Palisades, Marlborough Square Off in Volleyball

Two of the nation’s top 20 girls’ volleyball teams will meet today as City power Palisades High School, ranked No. 10 in the Volleyball Monthly preseason poll, travels to play No. 15 L.A. Marlborough at 3:30 p.m.

Palisades, winner of 10 of the last 11 City 4-A titles, has a 2-1 record. The only loss was to top-ranked Manhattan Beach Mira Costa. Flu-ridden Marlborough is 2-2. The Mustangs, defending Southern Section 4-A champions, played without four starters in a recent loss to Louisville of Woodland Hills.
