Boardroom Business Products Inc. of Huntington Beach has completed its previously announced acquisition of Gateway Computer Systems in a deal that merges two small retail computer chains.
John Veenstra, Boardroom chairman, said Gateway, also of Huntington Beach, has 11 retail stores in the western United States and annual sales of about $75 million. Veenstra said Boardroom is a holding company created in June, 1985, specifically to buy personal computer retailers. So far, Boardroom has acquired three companies in stock swaps.
