Expelled U.S. Reporter Leaves Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Asian Wall Street Journal correspondent John Berthelsen of Sacramento, Calif., left Malaysia on Wednesday after failing to get a court order to rescind his expulsion.
The Malaysian government Friday ordered Berthelsen, 48, and another Asian Wall Street Journal correspondent expelled and suspended the publishing license of the newspaper for three months. It did not give a reason. The other reporter, Raphael Pura, of King City, Calif., was in Hong Kong when the order was issued and has not returned.
