L.A. Baptist 21, La Verne Lutheran 0--Running back Cliff Robinson led the Knights (2-2, 1-0 in league) to victory at Monroe High in the Alpha League opener for both teams.
Robinson, a halfback in L.A. Baptist’s wishbone offense, carried the ball 21 times for 160 yards and two touchdowns.
The Knights’ defense held La Verne Lutheran (1-3, 0-1 in league) to 110 yards in total offense and sacked Trojan quarterback Brandon Dudley five times.
