All I’m seeking for is the present perfect for the Long Beach Opera.
In Martin Bernheimer’s illuminating retrospective of opera companies in Los Angeles (“Los Angeles Pursues the Phantom of Opera,” Oct. 5), the Long Beach Opera company was mentioned in the past tense, but according to the schedule of performances, its ninth season begins Oct. 17.
As a longtime fan of Michael Milenski’s brilliant (I’m not exaggerating) work in Long Beach, I want to correct the impression that it is past history.
