RESTAURANT JOB

Ruth Reichl says most people don’t go to a restaurant to eat but for romance, comfort and adventure (“Offbeat Books: Read ‘em and Eat,” Sept. 21).
She sounds like a pathetic, love-starved old bitty who could use a little “romance, comfort or adventure” in her life. No food. What exactly is her “job” at The Times? Interior decorator? Psychotherapist?
