Countywide : Judge Oliver Honored by Trial Lawyers Assn.

Superior Court Judge Jerrold S. Oliver has been named judge of the year by the California Trial Lawyers Assn.
Oliver, 60, is supervising judge of the civil jury panel of the Superior Court.
The association presents the award each year to recognize outstanding service by a trial judge, said Gary M. Paul, chairman of the association’s state convention, which runs Thursday through Sunday at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel.
Oliver of La Habra is a 1956 graduate of the USC Law School. He was named to the benches of Municipal Court and Superior Court by then-Gov. Ronald Reagan. He has served as a Superior Court judge in Orange County since 1974.
He is married and has two sons.
