Brea : Motorcycle Crashes Into Hydrant, Killing Rider

A 20-year-old man died just after midnight Friday when his motorcycle struck a curb in Brea and was thrown into a fire hydrant, police said.
Jerry Lee Gammell of Fullerton was traveling north on State College Boulevard near Imperial Highway at a “high rate of speed” when he rounded a curve and struck the curb, Police Officer Robert Bugbee said in a press release.
