Torrance-based Ashton-Tate posted record net income for the third quarter ended Oct. 31, an increase of 64.6% over the same quarter last year. Revenue was up 102%. Continued strong sales of all products, particularly dBase III Plus, a database management system, contributed to the financial success of the quarter, a spokesman said. During the period, the firm completed the acquisition of Decision Resources and announced two new products, continuing the company’s diversification and strengthening of its product line, the spokesman added.
