Creationists Focus On Missing Link

I read with interest Yoder’s plea for the Supreme Court to abandon the folly of hearing cases involving the dispute between creation science and evolution being taught as alternative views of the origin of the universe.
Yoder might be greatly surprised to learn just how many people “entertain remarkably odd beliefs about the origins of life.” As to God being a “witty Creator” who was deftly skilled in adding “fanciful touches of detail” to His creation, such cerebral detail indeed makes it possible for men like Yoder to be so “witty” themselves.
As to creation science being an “intellectual curiosity,” it is far more curious to listen to the feeble protestations of the “created” to the “Creator,” regarding his own biased views of the world’s origins.
Indeed, Mr. Yoder, it is one of the glories of this republic that people may believe and teach their children any fool thing they like, even that something was created out of nothing. “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ ” Psalm 14:1.
