Fire officials on Monday were investigating a suspected arson in Encino that caused $78,000 in damage to two Ventura Boulevard stores late Sunday night, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.
The fire broke out in a ground-floor printing shop in a four-story office building in the 16200 block of Ventura Boulevard and spread to a florist’s shop next door. It took about 20 firefighters 15 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which did not spread beyond the two stores.
No injuries were reported, fire officials said.
