Westwood : Meeting Set on Village Plan
The Transportation and Traffic Committee of the Los Angeles West Chamber of Commerce will hold a meeting at noon Jan. 15 on the Westwood Village Specific Plan.
Recommendations will be presented by Pat Smith of Gruen Associates, the firm that conducted the original study for the plan that was adopted by the City Council in 1973.
The updated plan will include the city’s recently completed traffic analysis. Issues that will be discussed include parking and street improvements such as wider sidewalks, more trees and lighting. One of the recommendations, weekend closure of some streets to traffic, has already been implemented.
Luncheon reservations can be made by calling (213) 475-4574.
