Painful Part of Business

Many can painfully relate to the theme of John F. Lawrence’s Dec. 14 column, “In Takeovers, Human Toll is Often Ignored.”
Business is not just paper and money. People are involved. In our country, we go to such heroic efforts to save the life of a child, sometimes even an animal.
Yet a businessman can disturb, disrupt or destroy families in order to make money. And that is “good business.” Thank you for bringing this point to the public.
