It is ironic that Eu’s article appeared in the same issue as “The Battle of the Buck.” She will discover that her tax dollars will pay a public defender to accuse her of inviting the suspect into her own home. I realize that our judicial system is the only one we have, but it somehow seems unfair that the only ones who come out ahead in this game of life are the money-hungry lawyers.
