Dow Down First Time This Year

NEW YORK — The stock market’s best-ever string of uninterrupted daily gains ended today as the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down for the first time in 1987.
The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials closed down 10.40 at 2,094.07. On Tuesday, the index had its 13th straight gain, besting a record of 12 set in 1970.
New York Stock Exchange volume was about 184.22 million shares compared with 224.79 million shares Tuesday.
