Poly’s Russell Decides on Arizona State

Leonard Russell of Long Beach Poly and Alvin Goree of Carson, two of the top high school running backs in the area, announced they will attend Arizona State and Oklahoma, respectively.
Russell, a two-time All-Southern Section pick and one of the top prospects in California, selected the Rose Bowl champion Sun Devils over Nebraska after canceling a scheduled visit this weekend to USC. Goree was the City 4-A player of the year for the champion Colts.
