NASA selected the Calabasas, Calif.-based aerospace firm to provide engineering support for the space center in Houston--a contract that could be worth $655 million over the next eight years. McDonnell Douglas also competed for the contract, which consolidates work now provided under three separate agreements by Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas and Northrop. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration said it will negotiate with Lockheed Engineering & Management Service Co. of Houston for a basic performance period of two years, beginning in May, with three two-year options.
