Solarium Dedicated: A new $300,000 solarium at Western Medical Center-Bartlett was dedicated Tuesday in ceremonies that included Lt. Gov. Leo T. McCarthy, Mayor Dan Young and county Supervisor Don R. Roth. Nearly 200 people attended the dedication of the recreational and rehabilitation facility, which is an adjunct to the center. Western Medical is the largest nonprofit, long-term rehabilitation center in the county. It also provides preventive health programs, meals and medical care for non-resident senior citizens. Money to build the solarium was donated through the efforts of the center’s Gold Club Board, a community support group.
