Violent weather hit the nation’s midsection. Two tornadoes touched down in Brown County, Kan., ripping the roof and two walls from a manufacturing plant and damaging two farmhouses near Hiawatha, officials said. Damage was estimated at more than $125,000. No injuries were reported. Tornadoes were seen in Texas near Midland, Hamilton, Aspermont and Fort Stockton, but no injuries or serious damage were reported. Baseball-sized hail pelted Midland.
