More ‘Enormity’

In reply to Robert D. Wolfe’s letter of July 1:
Ronald Reagan’s statement that Fred Astaire’s “casual air belied the enormity of his talent” was grammatically correct. My Random House Dictionary defines “enormity” as “3. greatness of size, scope, extent, or influence; immensity.”
Wolfe either chose to look no further in his own dictionary to suit his own purpose or needs to buy a better one. His letter was merely a poorly disguised excuse to attack the President. It revealed the enormity of his enmity toward Reagan.
