Even Odds won the $1,422,500 Woodrow Wilson Pace at East Rutherford, N.J., giving the winner’s check of $711,250 to owner Arlene Traub.
Traub purchased Even Odds as a yearling for $28,000 at the Kentucky Standardbred sale.
Even Odds, driven by Ben Webster, reached the end of the mile 2 lengths ahead of Prince Royce in the time of 1:54 1/5. It was the second-fastest Wilson behind the world record of 1:52 4/5 set by Nihilator in 1984.
