Moorpark 21, St. Bonaventure 6--Fullback Lloyd Thomas rushed 12 times for 96 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead Moorpark (3-7, 3-3) to a Tri-Valley League victory at Ventura High. Thomas scored on runs of six and 57 yards.
Thomas’ first touchdown capped a three-play, 28-yard drive as Moorpark took a 14-0 first-quarter lead. Moorpark’s offensive line cleared the way for Thomas’ second touchdown, a 57-yard sprint that increased the Musketeer lead to 21-6 with 7:22 left in the third quarter.
St. Bonaventure (2-8, 2-4) outgained Moorpark, 248-155.
