Carolco Pictures reported third-quarter income of $526,000, down from $2.1 million in the same period last year, when the company recognized “substantial overages” from the distribution of its best-known films, “Rambo: First Blood Part II” and “First Blood.” For the three months ended Sept. 30, revenue increased to almost $61 million from $5.8 million a year earlier. The company said its home video subsidiary, International Video Entertainment, accounted for more than $55 million of Carolco’s third-quarter revenue. The company’s interest expense during the quarter rose to $5.1 million from $289,000 a year earlier. For the nine months ended Sept. 30, Carolco reported net income of $2.95 million, down from $13.99 million last year.
