Lawrence L. Rodberg, former chief executive of Burlington Northern Air Freight, has re-entered the air cargo business with the establishment of Eden Air Freight, based in Irvine. Eden already has opened stations in 12 markets, including Los Angeles and San Diego, and expects to have facilities in four more metropolitan areas by the end of the year. The company currently employs 75 people. Rodberg, who entered the air cargo field in 1951, helped found Burlington Northern Air Freight in 1972, and served as chief executive officer for 12 years, first as president and then chairman.
