Local News in Brief : Hearing on Toxic Waste
- Share via
The Los Angeles City Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing today on a draft of an ordinance to amend the Los Angeles Municipal Code that would place hazardous waste facilities under the jurisdiction of the commission’s conditional-use procedure.
Because of time constraints and to minimize repetition, the commission asks that presentations be made by representatives of organized groups, rather than by many individual speakers.
The hearing will be held after 10 a.m. in the Board of Public Works Hearing Room, Room 350, City Hall, 200 N. Spring St., Los Angeles.
Under city guidelines, the proposal has been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act.
