Goff Scores 53 to Pace Magnolia

Senior forward Mike Goff scored a single-game school record 53 points for Magnolia High School, which defeated Brea-Olinda, 79-78, in overtime Thursday in the Sunny Hills tournament.

Goff was 17 of 24 from the field and 15 of 18 from the free-throw line. He made four three-point shots.

Canyon 69, Orange 56--Canyon (1-2) was paced by forward Dale LaRue (16 points).
