Chang Jung-koo of South Korea survived a first-round knockdown to score a unanimous decision over Isidro Perez of Mexico in a hard-fought 12-round bout at Seoul. Chang, 24, retained his World Boxing Council light flyweight crown with his 14th successful defense, which is a record for his weight class. Chang (35-1) had shared the record with Yoko Kushiken of Japan.
