Franklin Plays Palisades for City 3-A Title

Franklin High School of Los Angeles, which won the City 3-A football championship last season, only to be disqualified after it was learned the team had used an ineligible player in the first round of the playoffs, will try to win the title again today at 4:30 p.m. against top-seeded Palisades at East Los Angeles College.
Palisades has a 9-2 record; Franklin is 9-1.
In the first game of the doubleheader at 12:30, defending champion Reseda (10-0) will play Westchester (9-2) for the 2-A title. Reseda won, 10-0, when the teams met earlier in the season.
