Romania Confirms It Will Play in Olympics

LAUSANNE, Switzerland — Romania today became the fifth Soviet Bloc country to announce its participation at this year’s summer games in Seoul, the International Olympic Committee said.
Romania’s telexed reply, along with a confirmation from Burma also received today, brought to 145 the number of national Olympic committees entered for the Games. The Soviet Union, China and Cuba are among 22 countries that have still not formally replied.
