Hussein to Meet Pope

VATICAN CITY — Jordan’s King Hussein will discuss the Middle East situation with Pope John Paul II next month during the king’s visit to Italy.
A Vatican spokesman said Friday that the Pope will receive the king on Feb. 1, the second day of his three-day visit to Italy.
