Pepperdine Ends Trip in Portland

Pepperdine’s basketball team, a 70-63 loser to Gonzaga in a West Coast Athletic Conference game Thursday night at Spokane, Wash., will end its Northwest trip tonight against Portland at Portland.

Tom Lewis, the Waves’ top scorer, was averaging 23.6 points a game going into Thursday night’s game, but he was held to 10 points by Gonzaga and made only 1 of 10 shots.

The Waves are 10-6 overall and 2-1 in the WCAC. Portland (5-11, 0-3) lost to Loyola Marymount Thursday night, 134-106.
