The Nation : Agencies to Give Drug Tests to Secretaries, Custodians

Random drug testing at the FBI and several other Justice Department agencies will extend to support personnel including secretaries and custodians, Richard Willard, head of the Justice Department’s civil division, said. Willard said the random testing of all types of workers also will be done at the marshal’s service, the Bureau of Prisons and the Drug Enforcement Administration. Under an executive order signed by President Reagan, all employees in “sensitive positions” are to be tested for drugs. Willard’s remarks provided the most detail to date on how widespread drug testing at the Justice Department will be.
