ABC on Friday replaced “The ‘Slap’ Maxwell Story,” a series about a newspaper columnist, with “Just in Time,” a series about a magazine editor.
Tim Matheson stars in and is co-executive producer of the new comedy, which will move into the 9:30 p.m. Wednesday slot on April 6 for a six-week tryout. “Just in Time” also stars Patricia Kalember as a magazine columnist who becomes Matheson’s romantic interest.
“The ‘Slap’ Maxwell Story,” a first-year series with Dabney Coleman in the title role, was already scheduled to be preempted the next two weeks. It “will return to the ABC schedule later this season,” the network said.
