Dean Martin, 70, was hospitalized in fair condition with kidney problems today, but the “Rat Pack” reunion concert tour with aging superstars Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. will go on without him, at least temporarily.
“He had a flare-up of a kidney condition he’s had for some time,” said Ron Wise, spokesman for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. After appearing in Chicago on Sunday, Martin checked into the Los Angeles hospital early today to be treated by his personal physician, Wise said. The reunion tour, which has played to sold-out houses, will continue Tuesday in Bloomington, Minn., but without Martin. It was unknown when he will be able to rejoin the show.
