The Tremors, a three-piece San Diego rock band, recently won San Diego State University’s “Associated Students’ Cultural Arts Board Battle of the Bands” contest and local independent record stores say the Tremors’ self-produced album “Psychedlia” is selling well.
The Tremors, which started as a garage band playing local parties in and around Mission Beach, found an audience for its ‘60s-flavored rock sound and has expanded into clubs around San Diego and Orange counties.
Vince Ciulla, the Tremors’ drummer, said the band is meeting with various record company representatives and hopes to cut a deal, as well as another album, soon.
