Culver City Dance Team Wins 5th Place in National Contest

The Culver City Dance Team won fifth place last weekend at the Miss Drill Team U.S.A. Pageant, the nation’s largest pep squad competition, in Santa Monica.

Thirty-four teams entered the pageant’s Small Dance Team competition at Santa Monica High School. The team from Esperanza, Calif., placed first and won a trip to the Miss Drill Team International Pageant in Tokyo.

The Culver City team, which took second place in the international pageant last year, will perform next on April 9 at Morningside High School in Inglewood.
