I was pleased to read Chris Willman’s article “The Twelve Months of Xmas” (March 20).

I admit I’m a bit amazed that the recording studio-Xmas lights incident (and resulting publicity) that inspired his story still lives to this day.

I agree with Willman that one’s spirit need never be confined to any particular season, which might help to explain the Jack-o’-lanterns seen nightly in the window of Richie Podolor’s studio on Mulholland, where I’m currently recording.
